Commencal COMMENCAL META V5 T-TYPE CHALK 2024

The META V5 is our vision of MTB. It's a bike that's easy to handle, balanced, technically sound, lively, playful and pedal-efficient thanks to the new Virtual Contact System (VCS) kinematics. With 150mm travel the META V5 can be ridden whatever the mood of the moment and the rider can be confident that it will overcome any type of terrain. Sometimes a race bike, sometimes a trail bike, the META V5 is synonymous with versatility and ease, without neglecting performance.


This META V5 takes its name from the very latest SRAM shifting technology and EAGLE TRANSMISSION.

The components come from a combination of the new Direct Mount SRAM Eagle AXS Transmission groupsets. They offer the most precise shifting and are literally indestructible.

With the 36 Float Factory fork, we offer what FOX knows how to do best: Kashima anti-friction stanchions and GRIP2 cartridge with differentiated hydraulic settings. On the back, the Float X Factory is adapted to the kinematics of the frame and contributes to the dynamism of the bike. Different hydraulic settings adapt to the terrain and a lock-out lever makes climbing more fun.

We've chosen the best for the cockpit too. For more than 50 years, RENTHAL has manufactured aluminium handlebars and stems that have an excellent reputation, and their reliability is unquestionable.

This special edition is equipped with TRP DH-R Evo brakes which are the same brakes Amaury Pierron uses in the Downhill World Cup. With 203mm diameter discs which are 2.3mm thick, they are ultra-efficient.

DT SWISS take care of the wheels with the EX 1700. Made form high-end aluminium, they have an ultra-resistant weld, and are assembled by hand in Switzerland.

Finally, and exclusively, the META V5 features a pair of SCHWALBE Tacky Chan tyres. Developed by the COMMENCAL MUC-OFF Team. They take on the spirit of the renowned Magic Mary by providing more versatility on dry terrain and less resistance. They offer an excellent weight to strength ratio for enduro in this limited 'First Ride' version.
