With over 40 years of experience repairing/servicing bikes we are one of Edinburgh's most trusted and respected bike shop. Our staff are extremely friendly and approachable and are more than happy to discuss repairs in detail when dropping off. Our goal is to provide an excellent service at a reasonably priced rate. We offer a free pick up and drop off Tuesday - Thursday (Minimum repair cost applies) Take advantage of our 24hour repair turnaround if you are in a hurry to get your bike back.

For a basic service / safety check our mechanic gives your bike a thorough once over, checking the brakes, gears and tyres for wear and damage - so you can have peace of mind that your bike will ride smoothly and safely.

SUSPENSION & Seatposts

Mountain bike suspension and seatposts require servicing to ensure they are working to their full potential.
At Bike & Spanner we only use the highest quality oil and seals to give your suspension the best possible feeling when out on a trail.
Before working on your suspension we will require your body weight, style/level of riding. This is to enable us to adjust your suspension to your requirements. You will be provided with the settings for future reference if requested.
We offer internal suspension upgrades such as debonair spring, damper cartridge upgrades, suspension travel change and custom valving. All jobs are carried out in store.

Gtechniq Cermanic Bike Protection : £50
We are currently the only shop in Scotland currently offering Gtechniq Ceramic Protection Coating. This is a must to protect your bike. Make washing a breeze and protect your investemnt. Bike Ceramic has been formulated to minimise adhesion of foreign objects such as brake dust, road grime and mud. It offers up to 24 months of protection and can be applied to all types of finishes including paint protection films and vinyl. Bike Ceramic forms a durable, ultra-slick chemically bonding layer of optically clear ceramic. This ceramic protection prevents dirt and grime from bonding to the surface, making cleaning a breeze. The coating has been scientifically formulated to chemically bond to the surface of the bike frame. This chemical bond makes the Bike Ceramic the active surface of your frame, shielding it from dirt, mud and road grime. The ceramic coating forms a dense layer that is resistant from pH2 -pH12. This means that mud, grime and dirt are far easier to remove, making ongoing maintenance quick and easy.
